LAKE WORTH, Fla. — Florida Window and Door, the leader in the installation of hurricane impact windows and doors for residential, commercial and condominiums, is set to relocate their corporate office to Lake Worth in October of 2016, to a renovated 18,000 sq. foot building which will house their new showroom and distribution facility.
“Our new facility on Dixie Highway and U.S. 1, we believe, is located in a neighborhood on the brink of being rehabilitated,” said Florida Window and Door President Scott Berman. “We are investing over $1.5 million dollars in this area, as we want to be the main driver behind the revitalization of this neighborhood by significantly updating this property and increasing our workforce with local residents.”
The new facility located at 1125 N Dixie Highway in Lake Worth, has easy access to highways and great visibility with its location on U.S. Highway 1. In addition, the renovated building offers the size and ceiling heights needed for a productive distribution center.
“Overall, businesses are looking favorably at that Dixie Highway corridor,” said Maxime Ducoste, the Assistant Director of Planning for the City of Lake Worth. “Along with the renovation of the old Chuck Appliance store, there are two other projects that are currently active on Dixie Highway.”
Florida Window and Door will be transferring more than 25 staff positions to this new location and will be adding jobs as the business continues to grow and expand. Ninety-five percent of Florida Window and Door’s business is based on impact window and door renovations. As real estate continues to rebound, more Homeowners move to the State, values increase and housing inventory tightens, Florida Window and Door’s business grows as replacing non-impact windows and doors with impact product becomes a top priority.
“As our business growth continues we were in need of a centrally located facility in Palm Beach County. This location will not only offer us the room necessary to add additional staff, but with conference rooms dedicated to training, video conferencing to improve office to office communication and the addition of another showroom, we will not only better service our customers, but better train our staff to service our customers,” added Berman.
Florida Window and Door offers the widest selection of hurricane impact windows and doors for residential, commercial and condominium applications. Besides having to choose from a myriad of hurricane protection products, there are building code, local and state municipality, insurance requirements and Home Owners Association requirements that must be factored into making the correct decision for replacement windows and doors. Florida Window and Doors’ staff is fully trained to educate and assist their customers to design and engineer the most appropriate, and compliant product for their home or business. Florida Window and Door is a licensed general contractor in the state of Florida and provides service from the beginning of the project through installation and final inspection.
